When you have a layered hair style there isn't really any additional consideration to care that wouldn't exist if you had kept your hair all of one length. You still should but a higher end shampoo, one that matches your unique hair type, and then a conditioner to keep your hair soft and manageable, and to keep those split ends at bay. Having the proper hair care products as far as a salon quality dryer and perhaps a hair iron if you want to keep wavy hair from being so wavy will do much to help you keep you hair looking great for a long time. There are plenty of places where you can see pictures of layered hair styles if you are just thinking about changing over and haven't made your mind up yet.
Layered Hairstyles - The Long Look for the New Year

Hair Designs Must Suit Your Personality
Now you might be thinking, ‘good heavens, it is only hair!’ but hair says a lot more about you than you think. Research has demonstrated that we begin to form an impression of an individual’s personality and character within seconds of meeting them. Now while there are many other factors that contribute to how people see you, for instance, makeup and clothing hairstyle has been shown to be one of the most prominent factors on the impressions people make of us.
So what exactly does your hairstyle or general hair design say about you? Well for one thing it’s the starting point of conveying the image you want for yourself. And while many people, women and men alike, usually try to go for styles that they think will ‘look good on them’ or hair designs that will convey a particular image they want, sometimes the hair styles and designs you choose can miss the mark completely and can end up conveying the image you didn’t want. The worse part is that many people don’t even realize it!
According to the study experimenters discovered that women with sexy hairstyles were perceived as less intelligent, while women with short hair were viewed as more confident and outgoing. These stereotypes were influenced by other factors including hair length and hair color. Women with long blonde hair such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet were viewed as more affluent and sexier while women with medium-length darker hair such as Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Garner were perceived as smarter and more fun loving.
Again, women are not the only ones burdened with these appearance-related stereotypes. Men with short hair that is longer in the front were described as sexier and more confident, but were also seen as more self-absorbed. Those with medium-length hair parted on the side were described as being more intelligent and competent, yet were considered more narrow-minded. Men with extremely long hair were viewed as less intelligent but more good-natured.
So get going and start figuring out the intricate parts of your personality that you can add to your hairstyle and the general image of yourself you want people to see when they look at your hair.

2010 hairstyles involve creating a textured style. This can be done on any length of hair, cutting layers in, both choppy short layers and long layers. Layered hair can be tousled up using products to give a more textured look that adds interest to otherwise flat hairstyles. We will still be seeing the 1940s influence of perfect grooming, but it will be for nights out and special occasions, rather than in everyday hairstyles. The really fashionable will stay tousled even for such events, but it is a well controlled grunge look, rather than outright hair anarchy.
Updo hairstyles in 2010 are also less tight, with wispy bits left hanging free, curled into pretty ringlets, or even half updos, where only half the hair is twisted and locked into place, leaving the rest of the hair free to hang loose and move. Short hairstyles are elfin like, with the pixie cut popular and even the undercut (or bowl) making a show. In fact short hairstyles can be less choppy, the texture can be like glass, as the flapper bob demonstrates. Such 2010 hairstyles are geometric, so what is lacking in texture, is made up for in shape and definition.

Fringes in 2010 have become wide. Blended into the sides of the hair using layers, the latest fringe styles can frame a face beautifully and they are being seen inches above the eyes, especially in short cuts, side parted, center parted, or worn as a bang, the look for fringes in 2010 is broad and blended, slanted and interesting.
Whatever your face shape or hair type, there will be a new cut that can update your look this year. 2010 hairstyles are full of choice and options that will suit everyone. You will not need a complete overhaul to get the latest looks this year, just a trim and some well placed products should do the trick to make you hot to trot for the coming year.

Everyone is right and at the same time wrong on being emo. It's just the way the world works. See, everyone has their own opinions and no one should shut them up no matter what others think, or if they don't agree. It's just how the world works. Isn't that the whole point of trying to "find" you? To never hold anything back and always look for a you that you feel comfortable in, and all the people who call the others posers, how are you to judge that?
Everyone is still human, still people trying to find themselves in this image crazed world. There's no right or wrong thing to think or say or be for that matter, "When your mother tells you to love and appreciate your body, it's not just to get you to shut up. They know that when you're old you are going to feel exactly the same way you do inside as you do now.
We try on different dresses, different selves, but our souls are always the same — ongoing and full of light." It's from the book, Psyche in a Dress by Francesca Lia Block (All time favorite book). It's true, no matter what shells you try on you're always going to be the same, no site on the internet can tell you who to be, but you make that choice to look at it and see if maybe you could try on that shell. That is you, the human that wants to appreciate and love their own body. You just gotta see the good and bad in it. Not just what you want to, but everything else that makes it.
Hairstyles For Oblong Faces
What is an Oblong Face Shape?
The oblong face looks almost like an oval face but it is characterized by a face length that is longer than ideal. The ideal face length, which is the distance from the hairline to the tip of the chin, should be one and one-half times longer than the length across the widest part of the face. This ideal face length can be found in the oval face shapes. If the face length is longer, then the face shape is already considered oblong.
The oblong face is not ideal for many hairstyles, but it does not sentence your hair to a lifetime of unflattering hairstyles. In fact, it is very possible to look gorgeous and stunning with your oblong face. Think of Liv Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Niki Taylor, Stephanie Seymour, and Gabrielle Reece. All that you need to do to accentuate an oblong face is get an appropriate and flattering hairstyle. A hairstyle, of course, is a personal choice and should reflect a woman's unique personality. But there are some rules to follow for the oblong face.
Rules for the Oblong Face
Unfortunately, not all short hairstyles will look good on the oblong face. Short hairstyles that add height to the head, such as the pixie crop and the spiky hair, will only make the oblong face look longer. The recommended short hairstyles are those that add volume to the sides of the face, to restore a more desirable balance. These short hairstyles should have layers and may end in sassy flicks. The chin-length bob that caress the jaw line will also look gorgeous.

Emo Hair And Fashion
The emo hair styles vary everytime depending on the person wearing it. More than one factors must be taken into account; for example if someone in gothic clothes tries to pull an emo hair style, they might not be considered emo at all. Therefore, the clothing, skin piercing, tatoos and other features will also help in distinguishing between different people.
However, there are numerous characteristics that emo styles have in common:
* Bright and deep colours, particularly brought into view by highlights or long bangs. The highlights are often in contrast with the background of the rest of the hair. Most emo girls or boys dye their hair black or a gradient of brown/ black. In some emo girls, lighter colours such as white blonde, purple and green are very common and they do look attractive indeed.

* The most important factor and one that definitely a lot of boys who want to look emo have adopted are the long/ large side bangs. These usually hide either the left or right eye and consequently cover the side of the face, while on the other side the hair is cut shorter. The direction of the hair is also towards the side with the bangs as to create a mono directional type of haircut.
* The fourth factor on my list is a deliberately messy look! This look is always individual and therefore reflects a user personality and style! Others should never be copied no matter how good you think their emo haircuts look! Always try to impose your own emo hair style and style in general.

Popular Teen Hairstyles
There are also different available styles for short hair, including, but not limited to the following cuts: medium length flip, short flip, shoulder length bob and low ponytail. Other hairstyles that are seen on TV are offspring of these basic hairstyles.
Hairstyles for fine hair may be those cuts that emphasize a straight cut, with layers. Fine hair work best with as little alterations possible to the basic structure of the hair, because generally, fine hairs are thinner than curly or flat hairs. People with fine hair should also avoid overly short cuts as these would make the hair stand on end.
Teen hairstyles often take off from hairstyles of adults. Basically what happens is that hair cutters take a vintage hair cut and literally alter it to make it fit for a younger person. This can be done by removing some aspects of the hairstyle that call attention to themselves too much, such as sideburns and lone curls that droop on the forehead or near the cheeks.
What are the general guidelines so that the new teen hair cut would look good on you? First and foremost, determine what kind of cut would make your nicer features stick out. For example, if you have nice eyes, you should request a hairstyle that would emphasize your eyes. If you have a big nose, and you aren't too proud of it, request for a hip new hairstyle that would draw attention away from your nose towards your eyes or your mouth.
